Successful Website Marketing
A quick guide to making your website marketing more successful.
An important part of your website marketing strategy is to ensure you keep on taking measures to build your ranking with Google and the other major search engines.
One efficient way to achieve this is to add relevant content to your site through good quality, topic related articles on a regular basis.
A minimum requirement would be to submit one to two articles a week, but the more the merrier. Google loves sites filled with quality content.
What is "quality content"?
Before you sit down to write your article you will normally have done a bit of research to come up with a good topic.
The topic will logically be related to the theme of your site and you will as a good rule use keywords in the article related to words and phrases that people search for on Google.
I will as an example show you how the article you are reading right now came to be.
Since Memberteam.com to a large degree discusses the topic of "website marketing", I decided to investigate popular Google searches related to this phrase.
To achieve that I used Overture's Keyword Selector Tool and entered "website marketing."
I didn't want to go for the most searched for phrases right on top of the resulting list as the competition for these would be to big, but a bit down on the list was the phrase "successful website marketing."
Doing a search for "successful website marketing" on Google I found that the generic listing for websites using this search phrase really wasn't that large.
I clicked on the sites which had achieved the highest placement on this list to take a closer look at what they were up to.
I found that only a handful of those sites were really using the keywords to the full extent in their headline and throughout their article.
This was very encouraging, so I decided to write the present article using the search term as the headline and also making sure that the keywords "successful website marketing" and variations of the keywords are frequently used in the article.
So I ended up with a quality article to put on my site, which very likely will get a high generic ranking on Google as the competition isn't too big.
A painless way to achieve free publicity for my website and a high ranking for this article.
The end result is that I give my visitors exactly what they want with content related to what they have searched for.
I have also fed the robots with what they want with an article full of keywords matching the phrase being used in the Google search and thus everybody is happy.
This simple to apply technique can be used by any website owner as a part of the overall strategy to successfully market their website.
And it all comes totally free of charge!
